Today I am going to be talking about the Revlon Suede lipstick in Back Stage and the Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Crush. I bought this from Boots whilst I was looking for make up brushes. For a while I’ve been wanting to try out dark colours as usually I just stick to my baby pinks. I’ve been admiring the dark berry lips for a while now and have been loving them on people I think the colour looks really beautiful and it just stands out even on a normal day out.
Revlon Lipstick
First I am going to talk about the lipstick I’ve worn it quite a while now and am able to comment on it. On first application it doesn’t provide you with a dark colour it turns up as a light purple berry colour but as you build up the layers you can build up the colour so that it goes to that dark berry shade. When I first wore this I wore it out on a shopping trip (shopping for more make up haha) I only put one layer on so it was light and not that dark but when I was passing by the mirror in boots I realised that the lipstick had gone darker without topping it up. I’ve seen this is common as I have read it on other reviews of the lipstick as well. I guess this is a good thing but the drawback of this lipstick is that it can be quite drying to the lips. I advise anyone to wear a lip balm before wearing the lipstick and keep a gloss on top of it to keep the lips moisturised. The lipstick does not completely come off but after a few hours you can see it fade away but there is a stain left if you get what I’m saying? Overall its an okay lipstick but not moisturising as Revlon had said it was.
Revlon Balm Stain
The Revlon Balm Stain I can say is better in my opinion. I like how the colour just glides on and the colour shows up as well. I love this and wear it on a daily basis. It doesn’t feel as drying to the lips as the lipstick does but still does a tiny bit. The colour that I got is called Crush it’s like a berry colour (Yes as you can tell I’m into berry shades at the moment haha) the colour is really good but it doesn’t last long. I wear it to uni every day and I be in uni for like four hours and when I get back the lips are stained and the colour is faded. You would need to re apply it definitely after eating! (although I don’t since I’m quite lazy haha). I would definitely buy this again when it runs out because I love the shade of it.
Thats all folks although I’m currently on the lookout for a dark pink lipstick like YSL one in Caress Pink I’m loving the colour but thinking whether I should splash out or not haha
