There are a number of lipsticks out there that I would just LOVE to get my hands on but sadly that is not hapenning because A) I’d be broke and B) there’s way too many in my ever so long list. So today’s post is about the lipsticks that I am currently loving and that I would advise EVERYONE to buy because they are just too good for you to miss out on :). Sadly I haven’t taken any of my own photos so the pictures won’t be my own but trust me when I say these lipsticks are good and you’ll love me even more for you buying them and never leaving the house wearing them! (Okay maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration haha).
Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Colour- Jenna, £19.50
This lipstick I mentioned in my previous post. I love this lipstick and especially this lip colour it’s perfect for those that don’t want to go for a full on red lip, it can be worn for day and night and it lasts for a long time! It isn’t drying to the lips at all and even better it is a matte lipstick for all those matte lovers out there like me :).
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick- Amazing Grace, £23
Okay so I stumbled across Charlotte’s lipsticks quite randomly. I think I was watching a youtube video and then heard the word ‘matte’ and ‘lipstick’ together and just quickly googled it! haha I am a sucker for matte lipsticks. This is quite pricey but it is worth it if you have money to treat yourself. The texture is a lovely creamy matte consistency, it moistures your lips and is a great colour for a normal day out where you don’t want to go too dark. The only downside to this lipstick is that it doesn’t last long, you would have to wear a lip liner in order for it to stay and I’d imagine you’d still have to top it up. But it is a really nice consistency and the colours are amazing.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet- 05 Ole Flamingo, £8.99
When these little lovelies came out I was all over them. I bought this dark pink colour and was intrigued with the application of it. So I tried it on and voila it actually did what it said and finished matte. Now this is one of my staple lip products that I wear most days without having to worry about it smudging or fading away. Seriously I have ate and drank with this on and it would still be on my lips not budging. The best bit about this? It is an affordable price!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick- 107, £5.49
If you’re like me and love a dark lip then you will LOVE this Rimmel Kate Moss matte lipstick. It is such a beautiful mixture of plum that will just make your lips stand out! I am in love with this lipstick but you will HAVE to line this with a lip liner (I use MUA lip liner in Brooding Plum, £1) because this lipstick does not have good staying power :(. The only thing that would make this lipstick go from good to great is the staying power! But that’s nothing a good old lip liner can’t fix. Plus the smell of this lipstick is lovely and the price isn’t that bad too ;).
Sleek True Colour Lipstick- Cherry, £4.99
This is a new piece added to my growing collection of lipsticks. I bought this yesterday just out of the blue because I loved the colour and how pigmented it is in just one swipe. It’s great for people who like it light on the lips with just one swipe and for those who like it dark (like me) with two swipes. It’s a nice dark colour and would stand out on any skin tone. It’s texture is creamy and it’s not drying on the lips at all and stays on the lips for quite a while.
Maybeline Color Drama Intense Velver Lip Pencil- 510 Red Essential, £4.99
This is not a lipstick but a lip crayon. I just got this not thinking much of it and it has turned out to be a great purchase! The colour pay off is amazing and it is very pigmented. As you can tell I love my dark lips but the colours they have to offer are great. It’s not that drying to the lips but it’s not moisturising either. It is a matte lip crayon and would be great for all the matte lovers out there.
Too Faced La Creme- Fuschia Shock, £18
I’ve already gave this a review on my blog so I’ll just write a few quick words on this. It is a good moisturising lipstick and doesn’t dry out the lips. The color pay off is good and it lasts for a long time. It is a nice pink colour that you could wear on a casual day out or a job interview and then at night pair it with a smoky eye. I wasn’t that fond of this lipstick when I first got it but now it’s slowly growing on me, pair it with Soap and Glory’s Sexy Motherpucker Half Naked lipgloss and it creates a lovely colour.
And that’s a wrap! All these are lipsticks that I’m currently loving and I hope me providing small reviews have been somewhat useful to you. I’ll be back soon with other little reviews and hope to see you here too!
Once again all I take no credit for these pictures in any shape or form. They have all been taken from Google images.
